Menge Degna, developed by us with partnership with Walia Technologies PLC, is an online bus booking application that simplifies travel across Ethiopia. This multilingual platform, available in English, Amharic, and Afaan Oromoo, collaborates with numerous bus operators to provide users with a seamless reservation experience. With just a few clicks on their phones or computers, travelers can effortlessly reserve and purchase bus tickets, eliminating the hassle of queuing at counters. Beyond booking, this app enables users to check bus availability, types, and departure times, ensuring convenience and flexibility. Integrated with TeleBirr and PayPal for swift payments, Menge Degna also offers a customer-centric approach, allowing cancellations and rescheduling at any time.
In developing Menge Degna, our focus was on leveraging cutting-edge technology to transform Ethiopia's bus transportation system. We utilized a robust tech stack, including Node.js, Nest.js, React.js, React Native, and Next.js, to craft an intuitive platform. From frontend development to UI/UX design and payment gate integration, every aspect was meticulously executed to ensure a seamless user experience. Our iterative development process, coupled with agile methodologies, facilitated collaboration with stakeholders and experts in the transportation sector.
